Anniversaries are an opportunity to celebrate the present, look back with pride and understanding, and look ahead with hope and optimism. Those were the directions, and the emotions, that dominated Cancer Care Nova Scotia’s 10th Anniversary launch earlier this year.
Participants heard, as colon cancer patient Linda McAlpine so fondly put it, directly from the “bottom line” – those who matter most: cancer patients and their families. “I am the face of the thousands of individuals and families for whom you care and have cared,” she said at the celebration.
