Cancer Research Study Looking for Volunteers
If you live in Atlantic Canada and are between 35 and 69 years old, Atlantic Partnership for Tomorrow’s Health (Atlantic PATH) could use your help. Atlantic PATH is the largest cancer study in the history of our area. The study will follow the health of 30,000 Atlantic Canadians to determine what role lifestyle, the environment and genetics play in the development of cancer and other diseases. Cancer Answers Public Lecture
“Preventing Cancer: Understanding Environmental Risk” is the topic of our next Cancer Answers Public Lecture. It will be held on October 27th at 7 p.m. at the Royal Bank Lecture Theatre of the Halifax Infirmary in Halifax. It will also be available by video conference in health districts across the province. It will be presented by Dr. Louise Parker, Director of Cancer Research, Cancer Care Nova Scotia.
