• About cancer screening
Screening for cancer is about looking for cancer when you are feeling fine and have no symptoms. The goal is to prevent cancer or find it early when treatment is more effective and a cure is possible. Screening for cancer only works when you do it regularly.  In Nova Scotia, there are screening programs for three cancers: colon, cervix and breast. Talk with your family doctor or primary care provider about how often you should be screened for these cancers.

Visit www.getscreenednovascotia.ca for more information about cancer screening.
