Inactivity among children and youth is a nation-wide concern. By Grade 11, only 8.7% of males and 5.1% of females in Nova Scotia are achieving the recommended 60 minutes of moderate or vigorous physical activity each day.
Active Kids, Healthy Kids is a physical activity strategy for children and youth in Nova Scotia, with a long term goal of increasing the percentage of students hitting the recommended levels of physical activity per day.
Active Kids, Healthy Kids is supported and funded by Nova Scotia Health Promotion, and Protection. Please see the Active Kids, Healthy Kids website for more information.
