Finally a test you don't need to study for!

The CCPP has provided Grade 9 Health, Personal Development and Relationships (PDR) teachers with a resource kit that encourages students to make healthy lifestyle choices. The cervical health curriculum resource, “Finally, a test you don’t need to study for… Cervical Health and You”, is a three-lesson kit that focuses on understanding the risks for cervical cancer, explaining the Pap test, and Pap test results. The kit includes resource materials such as overheads, handouts, an educational video, a glossary of terms and sample Pap test instruments.

In 2007, in response to requests, the material was translated into French and provided to all Grade 9 French Immersion classes and Conseil Scolaire Acadien Provincial (CSAP) Grade 9 classes.

The CCPP has received positive feedback from many teachers and students across the province. For more information about “Finally a test you don’t need to study for … Cervical Health and You”, or to obtain a kit, email CCPP or call 1-888-480-8588.

The CCPP produces several publications to raise Pap test awareness.
