Capital District Health Authority has created a number of cancer information materials that are in use across the province. You can access these resources via the Patient Education section of the Capital Health website.

The Reef Knot Kit, a prostate information kit, is available for all Nova Scotian men newly diagnosed with prostate cancer. The kit contains a welcome letter, “Prostate Cancer: A Booklet for Patients”, and contact information for support groups in Nova Scotia.
The kit was developed by the Reef Knot Working Group, whose members include representatives from the Halifax Regional Prostate Cancer Support Group Society, the Canadian Prostate Cancer Network, the Canadian Cancer Society – Nova Scotia Division, Cancer Care Nova Scotia, and the Capital Health Cancer Care Program.
