Guide for Cancer Information

Cancer Care Nova Scotia is a member of the Nova Scotia Cancer Patient Education Committee (NSCPEC), a collaborative committee made up of representatives from CCNS, Capital Health, Cape Breton Cancer Centre and all other District Health Authorities. Members include health professionals, cancer survivors, and family members.

NSCPEC works with hospitals, communities and health care centres to provide new educational material for cancer patients. They ensure that developed materials are interdisciplinary, follow a standardized format, are culturally sensitive, and are applicable and relevant to cancer patients in Nova Scotia.

CancerCareCancerCare is a national (USA) non-profit organization that provides support services to anyone affected by cancer; people with cancer; caregiver, children, loved ones and the bereaved. CancerCare programs include education programs, offering seminars over the telephone to people all over the world.
