This three-day workshop has been designed to enhance the care provided to palliative care patients and their families in all care settings in Nova Scotia. It provides education to all members of the interprofessional front-line care team and to students in the Practical Nursing and Continuing Care Assistant programs.
This interactive program includes lectures, exercises, small and large group discussions, and the application of theory to real life scenarios.

The program is offered in District Health Authorities and through the Nova Scotia Community College, private career academies and Continuing Care Assistant Employers, The Palliative Care Front Line Education program is a component of the core curriculum for Practical Nurses and Continuing Care Assistants trained in Nova Scotia.
