The Interprofessional Skin Cancer Program: Prevention and Care.

The Interprofessional Skin Cancer Program: Prevention and Care module provides health professionals with an overview of non-melanoma and melanoma skin cancers. It is an accredited course and includes discussions on: 

  • prevention
  • detection
  • referrals
  • diagnosis 
  • treatments
  • outcomes and 
  • ongoing management

This module is aimed at all health professionals, and draws specifically on common experiences of Family Practice Physicians, Massage Therapists, Pharmacists, Nurses and Physiotherapists.

The prevention and early detection components of the module will be of interest to all health professionals. The diagnosis and treatment components will have more relevance to the day to day practice of Family Physicians, but may also be of interest to all health professionals. This program is supported by Cancer Care Nova Scotia and is available at no charge to participants.  Currently there are no sessions of this program being offered. Add  this site to your Favorites and check for future updates.
