Interprofessional Core Curriculum

The Interprofessional Core Curriculum (ICC) is a series of 10 interprofessional, interactive, evidence-based modules for health professionals who provide care to patients and families affected by cancer. These ten modules were developed to reflect the concept of “Interprofessional Education”.  Briefly stated an interprofessional educational activity occurs when interaction takes place between learners from various professions, with the purposes of improving the health and well-being of their patients and of improving their working collaboration. Prior to registering for an ICC Module, participants are encouraged to read about the principle of  interprofessional  learning and the background to the development of Cancer Care Nova Scotia’s Interprofessional Core Curriculum.
